Over the past few days

April 26, 2010

Picked up the following:

1) Highways

Outside 81 Shakespeare Avenue:

Some carriageway defects on the carriageway between 1 Letchworth Avenue and the junction with Bedfont Lane.  Examples:

Outside 1 Clymping Dene:

Outside 12 Harlington Road East:

The footway dips at the side of 150 Field Road:

2) Graffiti

Outside 68 Burns Avenue:

Near 211 Staines Road, Feltham:

Bridge over Longford River by Burns Avenue and Ruskin Avenue:

3) Hounslow Homes matters

The grass near 1-4 Tennyson Close needs cutting:

I have been told that 8 Shakespeare Avenue is empty and there are items in the garden:

4) Feltham Arena

A constituent informed me that there had been a fire in the area and that the fire brigade had to break through barrier.  Whilst I have reported this to the correct people, I took a look and the barriers appeared reasonably secure:

5) Items or rubbish on footway

It was Sunday evening so may have been cleared but I noticed:

On Tennyson Close (outside 1 Shakespeare Avenue):

Opposite 105 Shaftesbury Avenue:

Opposite 1 Mill Way:

6) Fallen sign

On Harlington Road West (side of 27 Hounslow Road):

Will report later this morning.

Yesterday morning in parts of Feltham North

July 26, 2009

A hot one yesterday so did not get around as far as I would have liked but as always picked up a few things on my travels.  No idea why the following sign is so dirty but will ask for this to be cleaned:

Will be chasing the condition of the pond (again) tomorrow!

Nursery Close was looking really lovely.  Grass verges well maintained and next to no litter.  All brilliant to see!  Here is a picture from the large block (44 to 76):

Just a couple of things to report.  I will report both to Hounslow Homes – location is outside block 44 to 76:

The following sign was pointing in the wrong direction and therefore not serving any purpose.  Will report:

And, the following had been marked out for repair outside 70 Hounslow Road.  Will chase to see by when this will happen?

Some things to report in Feltham North

July 20, 2008

As promised, here is a selection (not including everthing as it would some ages to download) pictures of things I will be reporting to the relevant departments tomorrow (having taken them yesterday whilst out and about delivering leaflets).

1) The following is what I saw from Staines Road (opposite the entrance to Roman Close).  The footway, not that I recalled it being used, appears to be covered with lots of overgrowth.  Will post more on the blog when I find out more:

2) A footway defect in Hounslow Road (outside the hotel):

I will write on the blog when I am informed the date by when this defect will be repaired.

3) A branch that is certainly getting in the way of people in Hounslow Road (near the entrance to Feltham Park):

I hope that this obstruction will be removed as soon as possible.

4) Knocked over bollard by the shops in Hounslow Road.  This happens quite regularly.  I will ask for this to be replaced and hopefully there is something stronger out there?

5) Finally (for now), one of the things I was keen to see is how many black bags were out (I am referring to streets in Feltham North that receive a Thursday collection – approximately 50% of the ward).  There was certainly a lot less in Lansbury Avenue than compared to Thursday evening.  Here are two examples where bags were still out (Clymping Dene & Hounslow Road):

The second of the two pictures above is a thumbnail.  I wonder whether this size is sufficient for most people as it is much quicker to download etc.

The latest Half Year Report – out and about today

July 19, 2008

Please let me know if you comments about the content or anything you would like to have seen in it.  I have been out and about most of today (nice day for it) and have delivered to Buckingham Avenue, Rosslyn Avenue, Lansbury Avenue, Harlington Road West, Clymping Dene, Walsham Road, The Vale, Mill Way, Roman Close, River Gardens, plus sections of Hounslow Road & Staines Road.

As usual, I have taken my camera out with me in case there is anything I need to report.  Taken some already and will post a selection later.
