Yesterday, I was asked about a cabin with a window and door (office type) that has appeared on the site of the former running track near the Arena.
I received the following today:
“This area is being temporarily used for filming. This was organised through the Council’s film liaison officer, Jan Henson, using Reel Film Locations who undertake negotiating contracts for filming within the Borough. As I understand it there will be a fee but as this is a documentary this is not a significant sum.
The company filming should be off site by tomorrow.”

It was so nice of the film crew to have there light tower on till 12:30am, yes that is correct 30 minutes past midnight, the tower was pushing out light in every direction, there were trucks coming on site very late into the night.
The trucks blocked anything from leaving a driveway at the bottom of shakespeare avenue for 3 hours during the evening.
The next morning when filming was taking place, the film crew blocked up the bottom of the road yet again while they were filming.
To me this is totally unaceptable as A. local people need to get sleep for work the following day. B. People could not get out of there drive ways due to the crew filming. C. no everyone got a letter from the film crew to let them know what was going on.

Mr De Wey Peters,
Generally, I do not know what you mean? Specifically to this, I have already made an enquiry asking why Local Councillors were not informed in advance. I have also been copied into emails form residents about issues of communication with them.
Thank you for letting me know about the Green Cabin. I will make another enquiry on Monday.
