With regards to your photos of Rose Avenue (actually it’s called Rosemead Avenue) We live in Rochester Avenue and back onto the alley that is kept clean. All the residents with access keep the gate locked at all times and we cut the grass and clear any rubbish found on a regular basis. The alleyway on the other side of Rosemead Avenue did have a gate fitted but it was vandilised within days of being installed by youngsters on motobikes who use the alleyway to cut through to the waste land on the other side of the railway lines. There have been many fires along the alleyway – garages, vehicles (often stolen), fences, etc and the Fire Brigade are called out quite regularly, especially in the Summer.

      Dear Mrs/Miss Davis,

Thank you for your posting and welcome to my blog. Thank you for letting me know the correct name of the street. It is something I did not know and various maps do not reflect the correct name either.

With regards to the graffiti, I am still trying to get something done but it is a very big job as it goes beyond Hanover Avenue. I will post a comment on here when I have an update.

      Mark.
